The Constitutional Court of the Republic of North Macedonia announced that yesterday it suspended the procedure for assessing the constitutionality of Article 2 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (2025).
"The linear increase in pensions remains in force. The doubt about the constitutionality of the law was removed and the Court today stopped the procedure," the Court emphasizes.
At the same hearing, the Court also decided:
not to initiate proceedings for the provisions of the Law on Consumer Protection regarding the use of the Macedonian language and the languages of communities with over 20% representation;
to initiate procedures for the Law on the Judicial Budget, the Law on Family, the Law on Industrial Property and the decisions on changing street names in Tetovo;
not to initiate a procedure for the Detailed Urban Plan of Upper Lisiče.
