Kosovo coach Agron Shabani announced on Wednesday the list of handball players invited for the matches with Finland.
As part of the second and final qualifying phase for the 2026 European Championship, our national team plays two matches against Finland in early March.
The first match is on March 5th at 17:30 PM in Vantaa, Finland, while the second is on March 8th at 17:15 PM at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina.
The national team's training camp takes place on Sunday in Pristina, while the trip to Finland is scheduled for Wednesday next week.
Coach Shabani has invited 16 players for this training camp.
Dafina Mustafa, Yllka Shatri and Melisa Mulaj have returned to the national team.
Meanwhile, new names are the U19 National Team players, Vanesa Kastrati, Aulona Maloku and Albina Pllana.
Our national team is undergoing a generational change and the invitation to new players serves this purpose.
Our national team has already played two matches in these qualifiers. It was defeated by the superpower, France, and by the quality national team of Croatia. Finland also has two losses, so the matches in March are expected to decide the third place in the group. Qualification for the European Championship is also possible from the third place.
