Two clubs have emerged as favourites to sign Jack Grealish, who is no longer part of Manchester City's main plans, while a new asking price for his card has become clear, according to recent reports.

Manchester City are hoping to bounce back strongly after a disappointing Premier League season, where they lost the championship title to Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola's team also failed in the UEFA Champions League and were defeated 1-0 in the FA Cup final by Crystal Palace at Wembley.

Their bitter rivals, Manchester United, had an even worse season, finishing 15th in the table and losing the Europa League final 1–0 to Tottenham. This defeat meant that United were left out of the Champions League for the following season.

Both clubs aim to rebuild their squads over the summer, but to do so, they must first generate funds.

Grealish, who has had a difficult season, played just 20 games in the Premier League, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

According to Oddschecker, the two favourites to secure his services are Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 29-year-old was left out of City's squad for the Club World Cup, but Guardiola insisted it had nothing to do with the player's behaviour:

"The only reason Jack didn't play was my decision, not because he had behaved badly or anything," Guardiola said in June.

"I want the best for Jack, his partner, his children, his family. I have no doubts about his qualities. The treble year would not have been possible without him."

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford has also been part of a sensational move, having been loaned to Aston Villa, following a much-talked-about interview with journalist Henry Winter, where he admitted he was "ready for a new challenge."

As the summer transfer window enters the crucial stages, it looks like Grealish's future will be decided soon, with Napoli and Tottenham leading the race for him./Express newspaper/
