Manchester City have opened talks to sign a replacement for Kyle Walker, but the deal will need to be completed quickly to secure him for £22m.
Man City have spent big this summer, bringing in Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves and Rayan Cherki from Lyon.
Pep Guardiola has also cut his squad, with Kyle Walker leaving the Etihad.
He has joined Burnley for a fee that could rise to £5m, having signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League side.
Guardiola appears to be looking for a replacement for Walker ahead of the 2025/26 season.
According to Football Transfers, Man City have opened talks with Inter over a deal for Denzel Dumfries.
They have identified Dumfries as the ideal replacement, due to the release clause in his contract.
The 29-year-old has a release clause of just €25m (£22m), which expires on July 15 - so the deal needs to be completed quickly to take advantage of the low price.
According to the report, Man City consider this deal to be "too good to refuse".
However, City face stiff competition from Barcelona, who have also been informed of Dumfries' modest release clause.
But the Blues have an advantage, as they are said to have an excellent relationship with the player's agent, which could help to quickly complete the deal.
Dumfries has been part of Inter since the summer of 2021, when he moved from PSV Eindhoven.
He has made 179 appearances in all competitions and scored 22 goals.
Last season, the Inter star scored 11 goals from the full-back position.
Dumfries is also a Dutch international, with 65 caps and 10 goals for the Netherlands national team./Express newspaper/
