Kosovo Customs has announced that cigarettes without labels were seized in the garage of a house in Pristina.
The announcement states that 44 packs of cigarettes were seized, the total value of which is estimated to be around 15 thousand euros, and the evasion of taxes and customs duties is estimated to be over 30,000 euros.
"By order of the Custodian Prosecutor, the suspect - also the owner of the goods - was interviewed regarding the circumstances of the case, while the found goods were confiscated," the announcement states, among other things.

Pristina, March 12, 2026 - The Anti-Smuggling Units of Kosovo Customs, after receiving information through operational channels and after receiving authorization to take action from the Custodian Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, have conducted a search in the garage of a house in Pristina.
During the search, 44 packs of cigarettes without labels were found and seized, which are suspected of being smuggled into the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. The total value of these cigarettes is estimated to be around 15,000 euros, while the evasion of taxes and customs duties is estimated to be over 30,000 euros.
By order of the Custodian Prosecutor, the suspect - also the owner of the goods - was interviewed regarding the circumstances of the case, while the found goods were confiscated.
