President Bajram Begaj has decreed this Friday (April 17) the dismissal of five Albanian ambassadors to diplomatic missions abroad, as well as two new appointments to the diplomatic service.
According to the decision, Riza Poda, ambassador to China and a number of other non-resident countries; Bardhyl Canaj, ambassador to Serbia; Sami Shiba, ambassador to Egypt and several other countries in the region; Vasilika Hysi, representative to the UN in Geneva; and Albana Dautllari, ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg, have been relieved of their duties.
Meanwhile, the President has decreed the appointment of Gazmend Barbullushi as ambassador to Belgium, as well as to Luxembourg (non-resident).
Also, Albana Dautllari has been appointed Albania's ambassador to the European Union.
