“The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain neutrality in times of moral crisis”. The words are from the father of the architecture of the Divine Comedy (Hell-Purgatory-Paradise). Dante Alighieri understood well that when you have to speak or write, especially in difficult times, then people shrink, fear and calculate problems, but above all comfort. Such a moment has come in Albania with what our politics seems to be cooking to perpetuate. Society is still not ready to react, while interest groups and especially the media seem to be overwhelmed by completely different issues. It is true that in the last three decades (+ half) we have been led by individuals of different ranks, who often leave much to be desired and even more who have abandoned their moral creeds. In the meantime, they have done well for their continuity and especially the cycle of mediocre people who have no scruples. It is worrying that the same anthropology is also seen in the new generation. Get what you can, that's the motto! This is our country today, filled with such people. The Chairman of the Supreme State Audit Office complained that they didn't let him do his job. The head of SPAK was getting dizzy from the "intellectual" questions of the deputies. The others were grumbling about the things they articulated, but nothing... from politics. Nothing from the public. Nothing from the other governing instruments. Should we stay like this anymore? Does this policy represent us anymore? What if they patch the Constitution again, which is very likely? Patch is the best word to say, since the DP and the SP have done it many times so far. A few hours ago (30.10.2025), an Albanian minister was walking alone on the pedestrian street, completely arrogant! A bodyguard was following him behind him, but at a distance of almost 10 meters! The one who was standing was clutching the boss's bag, while the superior walked with his head held high and with an unusual pride, as if he were leaving a prestigious university auditorium. We are not mentioning it for ethics, but the arrogance of these individuals who should be among the most educated in the country has aroused disgust, because they deal with the country's problems (mainly economic and social ones), the areas from which Albanians are leaving the country. With a simplification of judgment, in this category of thought, what about the other ministers?! It is not necessary to guess what the ministers do, because their deeds are known, while SPAK has launched an incursion, from which all Albanians expect some kind of answer. But it is delayed and delayed. The changes that Rama proposed in the SP Assembly (which in terms of importance can be called the country's main activity) were talked about shrinking the parliament to 100 deputies and many other things, while Mr. Berisha confirmed a little earlier that negotiations are underway with the Socialist Party. What is known? Their agreements are always made at the expense of Albanians, but not of the principle and separation of powers.

The other powers besides the Executive in Albania are completely inactive. Even worse are the controlling ones. We recently saw them in parliament and their timidity as they reported one after another, but also the obstacles.

The biggest concern is the new leadership structure of the country, or the way Rama is trying to impose himself with the immense power of numbers for the constitutional changes. They have started and are under the rug and when all Albanians expect changes that would allow for fair elections and a necessary territorial reform, it seems that the effort is to structure the parliament for interests and with this case and the eternity of "Old Man" Berisha and "Rios" Rama who will persevere there for seats in the Senate of a parliament that never became the true legislative power of the Albanians. It seems that the bloc towards Justice will be institutional and the confrontation of the Berisha-Rama duo who no longer recognize any democratic canon will remain calm with their supposedly airy debates. Let's not forget that this is serious or as the 'cynic' Churchill said more clearly: "Politics is not a game. It is a serious business". And, in this business Berisha and Rama are unprecedented. The Republic is being tirelessly violated and its shoulders are sagging day by day due to the lack of respect and its beating. You saw this today in that minister today, followed by the bodyguard who lowered his head to avoid being noticed in that state, where the bitter business of Albanian politics has reduced us all at the expense of our Third Republic.
