The Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) announced that it has approved the appeal of the Serbian List, which was filed with this institution against the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
ECAP emphasizes that it disagrees with the CEC's decision not to announce the final results of the Early Elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, held on December 28, 2025, for the political entity Serbian List and its candidates.
In this situation, the British Embassy emphasizes that the decision of the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel reaffirms the right of non-majority communities in Kosovo, along with all other political entities, to participate fully in the democratic process, as guaranteed by the Constitution and relevant legislation.
"We expect that legitimately elected representatives will be able to take office and serve the citizens who elected them," the embassy's response states.
"The United Kingdom continues to support transparent and rules-based electoral processes in Kosovo. We encourage all institutions and political actors to respect the decisions of democratic institutions and to support the integrity of the electoral framework. A credible and inclusive electoral process is essential for Kosovo's democratic stability and for strengthening trust among all communities," the response states.
