During a statement in the UK Parliament earlier today, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called Donald Trump's threat last week to end an "entire civilisation" if Iran does not agree to reopen the Strait of Hormuz a "mistake".
This is a bit stronger than the prime minister's initial response to the remarks during an interview last Thursday, in which he said they were "not words I would use."
Speaking in the House of Commons, Starmer said Iranian civilians had already suffered "immeasurable harm" at the hands of the regime over "many long years", the BBC reported, Gazeta Express reports.
