Manchester United have secured a big victory on their way to qualifying for the Champions League, beating their main opponent.
The "Red Devils", led by Michael Carrick, won 3-1 against Aston Villa at "Old Trafford", with the match played as part of the 30th round of the Premier League.
After a goalless first half and few good scoring chances, the second half produced four goals.
Initially, Casemiro scored after an assist from Bruno Fernandes from a corner.
The Brazilian scored in the 53rd minute, while 11 minutes later, Aston Villa equalized through Ross Barkley.
But United regained the lead in the 71st minute, when another Brazilian, Matheus Cunha, scored - again assisted by Bruno.
Ten minutes later – just six minutes after coming on as a substitute – Benjamin Sesko gave Aston Villa the final blow, making it 3-1 and the epilogue of the match.
With this victory, Manchester United strengthens its third place, three points ahead of Villa.
United now have 54 points, compared to Aston Villa's 51.
Arsenal leads the table with 70 points, while Manchester City is second with 61 points./Express newspaper/
