"Big Brother" icon Nadia Almada appeared almost unrecognizable after leaving a clinic in Turkey, where she underwent cosmetic surgery on her face.
The 49-year-old, who rose to fame after winning the fifth series of "Big Brother UK" in 2004 and becoming the first transgender contestant on the show, was seen leaving the Trio Clinic in Istanbul with visible signs of surgery.

Her face was wrapped in a black support bandage, while her nose, lips and forehead were covered with bandages over the bruised skin. The intervention comes after Nadia lost around 38 kilograms last year, following a stomach-reduction operation.
In addition to her physical transformations, Nadia has also been very vocal about social issues recently. She reacted strongly to a decision by the Supreme Court in the United Kingdom, which defines a woman based on biological sex. According to her, this decision is disturbing and inhumane for the transgender community.

Nadia stressed that she feels scared and hurt by the fact that her identity is being questioned, adding that such experiences are especially difficult for people who have experienced discrimination over the years. She also criticized the fact that the decision does not include or recognize non-binary and intersex people.
She stated that for her, identity as a woman is essential and comes before being labeled as a transgender person, emphasizing that this is how she lives and experiences her life in society.

In a strong statement, Nadia said she would rather refuse medical treatment than be placed in a male ward, calling this an unacceptable and disturbing situation.
In a previous interview on the podcast "Remember Me?", she also spoke about the dark side of fame, emphasizing that fame does not necessarily bring happiness or wealth. According to her, being a public figure often has more challenges than benefits. /GazetaExpress/
