The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, has announced that Shemsi Jashari has joined the PDK and will be part of the list of candidates for MPs.
Through a public post, Hamza described Jashari as "one of the most active voices of civil society", praising his commitment over the years to protecting civic interests, transparency and justice.
According to Hamza, Shemsi Jashari has a long experience in serving the country, as a former KLA soldier, part of the Kosovo Police and state administration, and later as a civil society activist and commentator on public issues.
"With his integrity and public engagement over the years, he does honor to our list and the representation that Kosovo needs," Hamza wrote.
At the end of the post, the PDK leader welcomed Jashari to the party he leads.
