Craig Ainsworth, a former member of the British Royal Navy and former bodyguard to David and Victoria Beckham, was found dead in Spain.

A major police search had previously been announced for him, writes the Mirror, and the news of his death was spread by his mother.

Before committing suicide, Craig addressed his followers on social media with a farewell letter, explaining the reasons why he made such a radical decision.

"To be alive is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that's all. To most of you this will be a shock, but I have been in great pain for the past four years since the nervous breakdown destroyed everything I had built, and I lost some truly amazing people that I was proud to call friends and colleagues. Especially Ryan and Jamie, who were like brothers to me. I was publicly attacked and humiliated by family members, even though they knew I was in bad shape, and I lost friends I had been in contact with for 20 years, who chose to talk about me, instead of talking to me. When I needed them most, they chose to attack me instead of supporting me, and that is something I have never been rewarded for. It just dried me up," Craig wrote in his latest post.

Craig Ainsworth added that he "does not want a burial, but for his remains to be thrown into the sea."

Ainsworth worked for David and Victoria Beckham from 2013 to 2015, when they lived in Holland Park in London. He spoke about the couple after a documentary about them was released on Netflix.

"David was charming. Victoria kept to herself, was with the kids or working. Their children are very well-educated, considering how many followers they have. To be so famous and to keep the family, they must be doing something extraordinary and be very good," he said at the time. /GazetaExpress/
