Bayern Munich has already started building its squad for next season.
According to reports, talks are ongoing with a centre-back. Here are the latest news and rumours surrounding the record-breaking German champions.
According to "tz", Bayern have held talks with Tomas Araujo's representatives about a possible transfer.
Araujo, who can play as a centre-back or right-back, could challenge Konrad Laimer for a place in the starting lineup.
Germany's record champions had also previously monitored Givairo Read.
However, the 23-year-old has only recently signed a long-term contract with Benfica until 2029, with reports suggesting it includes a high release clause ranging from €80m to €100m.
Chelsea have also reportedly shown strong interest in Araujo in the past.
Given that amount, Bayern are not expected to seriously pursue his transfer.
According to "Kicker", the club's main priority remains a versatile striker who can play on the left wing or in the center of attack, which is why rumors are growing about Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon.
However, the German champions may need new defenders this summer if Min-Jae Kim and Hiroki Ito leave.
Kim was set to be sold last year, while Ito's future at Bayern remains uncertain.
According to "tz", Ito could leave Bayern Munich next summer - just two seasons after his arrival - if a suitable offer arrives for the Japanese.
Ito joined Bayern from Stuttgart in the summer of 2024 via a €23.5 million release clause, but his debut season was disappointing.
The 26-year-old suffered a fractured metatarsal just before the start of the season, sidelining him for months.
He made only six appearances before suffering the same injury again.
He returned in November and has since made 21 appearances in all competitions, playing more regularly towards the end of the season after Bayern secured the Bundesliga title and turned their focus to the Champions League final.
In the Champions League knockout stages against Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, he was an unused substitute for four full 90-minute matches. In the DFB-Pokal knockout stages, he was only used in the final minutes.
His contract in Munich runs until 2028, but considering the €23.5 million already invested, Bayern will likely demand at least €20 million before entering into talks with any interested club./Express newspaper/
