Barcelona are reviewing their plans for the summer transfer window after Nico Williams' decision to stay at Athletic Club. This rejection has created a ripple effect that, according to media reports, has reached Germany.

With Williams no longer part of their plans, the Catalans are now expected to focus on two other options. However, Barcelona were not the only club to be rejected by Williams — Bayern Munich had offered more money than the Catalans and Athletic.
According to journalist Christian Falk, via Bayern Insider, the Bavarian giants will meet to discuss whether Williams' new release clause is beyond their means — however, after all this "soap opera," it would be a big surprise if the player changes his mind.

Falk also reported that Luis Diaz and Bayern Munich have held concrete talks over a transfer. Liverpool had previously set his price at €80-85m, and Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has also discussed the figures with the player's representatives.

Diaz is also back as Barcelona's top priority, as he was at the start of the summer. However, his situation now remains uncertain following the tragic death of teammate Diogo Jota. It is understood that both Diaz and Liverpool will take their time before discussing their future.

The problem for Barcelona lies in the fact that Bayern's alternative to Diaz is Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford. The England international has communicated to the club that he wants to leave and will take an extended break to resolve his future.

According to Falk, Rashford fits the profile Bayern Munich are looking for. Previously considered too expensive, the German club now sees him as a real option on the market.
Manchester United would prefer to collect as much as possible from the €45 million asking price for the 27-year-old, and if Bayern show concrete interest, the deal could go through.

On the other hand, Barcelona are more likely to request a loan with an option to buy, but that would depend on Rashford's determination to move to Catalonia. United would only accept such a scenario as a last resort./Express newspaper/
