Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Hykmete Bajrami has reacted after the Vetëvendosje Movement and the LDK failed to reach an agreement on the President.

Bajrami said that what was offered to LDK today was not a compromise, but blackmail.

Furthermore, she said that Albin Kurti wants to be acting prime minister, because he will rule but not give responsibility.

Full post:

Kosovo is not in crisis just now because of the president, Kosovo has been in crisis for six years due to Albin Kurti's misgovernance.

Albin Kurti does not want to be Prime Minister, he wants to be Acting Prime Minister, he wants to rule, not lead, to be the head of state but not take responsibility for this country and for the citizens who live from crisis to crisis.

Today, he attempted another political game: four ministries and a deputy prime minister for the LDK, but with one condition that the presidency remain in his hands.

This is not an offer – it is pressure.

This is not a solution – it is another attempt to impose the will of one man over the will of the citizens.

What was offered to the LDK today was not a compromise - it was blackmail packaged as a solution.

Let's be clear: Albin's offer was not to get out of the crisis, but to control it.

Today is the president; yesterday it was oil; before them were energy, prices, inflation, businesses that are closing and young people who are leaving every day. Meanwhile, citizens in Dragash, Peja, Prishtina, Podujeva, Gjilan, Kaçanik and elsewhere are not living with 'political options', citizens are living with more expensive bills, with uncertainty and with a lack of hope that this country will get better.

And while they face this reality, the government deals with scenarios and bargaining, with finding the culprit, but there is no other culprit than the one who has been given the trust to find solutions to the citizens' problems.

Don't be surprised if, in the last minutes of the constitutional deadline, another 'solution', so-called 'consensual', is presented to us, because the model is the same: create the crisis, then offer the solution that serves you.

This is not governance – this is a way of ruling, but it should not be a surprise because Albin Kurti, from day one, has operated through deception, lies and manipulation, from the black and white jeeps, to the striped flag, to the national unification that never happened, to the promises to abolish VAT on flour, sugar and oil.

Citizens must ultimately be held accountable for what is happening.
