Unorganized team Bad News Eagles has announced its return, bringing together five Kosovar players who previously qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp, IEM Rio Major, and BLAST.tv Paris Major.
The former Bad News Eagles team played without organizational support for nearly two years, since their formation in March 2022.
After qualifying for three consecutive Majors, the team finally found an organization in November 2023, joining GUILD and aiming to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen under the name Guild Eagles.
Under the Guild Eagles banner, the team led by Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci struggled to achieve success, failing in several online tournaments and qualifiers.
Ultimately, they failed to secure a spot at the PGL Major Copenhagen. Following this failure, GUILD parted ways with the team in May 2024, causing the players to split up for the remainder of the year.
Now, Bad News Eagles is gearing up for a series of open qualifiers, with their first tournament being the Adriatic Open Qualifier for the BLAST Open Lisbon Europe Closed Qualifier, which begins on February 4. They have also registered for the IEM Dallas Europe Open Qualifier, which begins on February 7.
