Arsenal is the first Champions League finalist for the 2025/26 season.
Mikel Arteta's team booked their place in Budapest after a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid at the Emirates, securing a 2-1 aggregate victory.
The winning goal for Arsenal was scored by captain Bukayo Saka, writes "Gazeta Express".
The English star found the goal in the 45th minute, after finding himself best in the area, after Leandro Trossard's shot was stopped by Jan Oblak and fell at the feet of Saka.
This was the only chance of the first half, as during the entire first 45 minutes there were only a few half-chances, while possession belonged to Arsenal.
However, the second half started more frantically for Atletico, who had several good scoring chances.
The best of them was that of Giuliano Simeone, who failed to score into an empty net after being stopped by Arsenal's Gabriel with a tackle from behind.
Arsenal then risked Viktor Gyokeres once, but his shot went just over Oblak's goal.
Until the end, there were no goals, and thus Arsenal secured their first Champions League final since 2006.
In the Budapest final, which will be played on May 30, Arsenal will host the winner of the Bayern Munich – PSG match.
The first match played in Paris ended 5-4 in favor of PSG, with tomorrow's match being played at the Allianz Arena in Munich./Express newspaper/
