The Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, has emphasized that justice provided by the courts will be a valuable contribution to Albania's path towards membership in the European Union.
During his speech at the presentation of the "Guide to the Jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court", Gonzato emphasized that it is important that justice be visible and tangible for citizens.
“Today is not the time to review the priorities of the Justice Reform. However, I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize the value of dialogue. These elements are key for final decisions to meet the high standards set by the Constitutional Court. This is an ongoing process.
Justice must not only be given, but it must also be seen to be given. Justice must reach citizens, they must understand it, have faith in it, and only by having this faith can we see EU integration as an opportunity to achieve more. And for this, every step matters, every effort that the courts make contributes to this vision”, said Ambassador Gonzato.
