DUI leader Ali Ahmeti today congratulated Edi Rama on his election as Prime Minister of Albania.
"I congratulate you as a brother on your re-election as head of the Albanian Government with the most sincere wishes for success in implementing the government program. You have our support, in support of a European Albania and the march without any stop, with safe and rapid steps, towards full European integration. Today, there is no more patriotic national act than a European Albania and this journey must be supported by everyone.
On July 19, 2022, Skopje and Tirana jointly began negotiations in Brussels, and today, Albania has opened almost all negotiation chapters, while North Macedonia has lost its way to the European capital.
The stagnation of North Macedonia on its European path and the growth of Serbian-Russian influences in the country represent a great concern for us, along with the serious violation of ethnic equality through the destruction of the Ohrid Peace Agreement from 2001.
"Your and Albania's commitment to European integration is exemplary and I hope it serves as an incentive for us in Albania to join you on this journey," Ahmeti writes on his Facebook profile.
