"Dafina has had songs that have had hits from countries like India..."
Aldor Nini was invited today to the show "Hap Ç'ju" with Visjan Ukcenaj and Cubi Metkaj on Top Albania Radio. The CEO of 'Acromax' spoke about a very hot topic in our showbiz, do our artists buy clicks on their songs or not? Not only did he reveal a lot about this topic, but Aldor Nini also revealed the names.
Excerpt from the interview:
Visjani: You know Albanian artists very well, your work is directly related to the art of music, but who is an artist that you don't have but would like to have?
Aldor: First of all, for me to decide that I would like to have an artist, I would have to know how much money that artist makes, so that's the million dollar question. Many artists have come forward, very famous, talented, who were hiding behind some Indian clicks.
Cubi: To put it bluntly, who buys clicks?
Aldor: They buy. An awful lot of them buy clicks, and with those purchased clicks, a new trend has started recently, they are also starting to sell catalogs.
Cubi: How was that?
Aldor: They say I have 100 million clicks and a company comes and says "I'll give you 500 thousand euros for all your songs because you are very famous." It means that with fake clicks we also manage to deceive foreign companies into giving us money for our catalogs. Let's go back to the question once again, so it's very difficult to say I love this artist. He may be very famous with clicks but at the end of the day...
Visjani: Not only does he not generate finance with clicks because he bought them, but he has committed fraud, selling his artistic music catalog to a foreign company, which thinks it is genuine. What is the risk if someone does this and can this 'boomerang' backfire?
Aldor: It can be reversed. I even found out today that two companies that have worked together and bought these types of catalogs have fallen out with each other and a dizzying mess has been made with the songs of the respective artists. There are also Albanian singers involved here, especially many from Kosovo. Who are currently somewhere in the air because one company has broken the contract with the other. One accuses the other of theft.
Cubi: Who are these artists?
Aldor: We have several. For example, one of the artists who sold the catalog to this company is Dafina Zeqiri. That we know. All of these are now in a phase of migration from one company to another. Someone has the rights and someone manages them technically. It becomes a big mess.
Visjani: Is Dafina's catalog genuine as a catalog or is it also implicated in fake clicks?
Aldor: Dafina has historically not had fake clicks, but among all artists, maybe Dafina herself doesn't know because someone could have done it.
Visjani: Because the manager might have done it to him...
Aldor: The manager or others may have done it, but Dafina also had songs that had hits from countries like India, etc. There are some artists who have more, there are some artists who have less.
