The Speaker of the Parliament and Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu, has announced the death of her father.
In a Facebook post, she wrote that she lost her biggest supporter and said she will remember him forever.

With a broken heart and deep sorrow, I announce the passing of my father.
He was our strongest pillar, my greatest supporter, the man who taught us respect for others and who, with pure love, knew how to always keep us together.
I will love you forever and never forget you, Dad. I will miss you so much.
