Croatia, Albania and Kosovo have reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of defense. This trilateral alliance has been used by Serbia for some time now to present it as a security threat and as a justification for the further arming of the Serbian state.
Not long ago, on Wednesday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, after a meeting with officials of "Republika Srpska", including Milorad Dodik, said that the security situation after this agreement "is more complex" and that Serbia will arm itself even more in the coming days.
For these statements, Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic has not spared Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. After a meeting with his Albanian counterpart, Ermal Nufi, Anusic said that the time has passed when someone else dictated to official Zagreb how it should conduct its own policy.
Regarding the statements of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic about the trilateral agreement between Croatia, Albania and Kosovo, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Albania also spoke in a response to Gazeta Express. The media office of this ministry said that every detail regarding this agreement is public on the ministry's website.
"We would like to inform you that all information about the agreement between Albania-Kosovo and Croatia is published on the official website of the Ministry of Defense," the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Albania told Gazeta Express.
NATO also spoke to Express about this topic today. The North Atlantic Alliance has called on the Serbian head of state to be constructive and responsible in relations with NATO and its neighbors.
Kosovo, Albania and Croatia signed a declaration in Tirana on March 18, 2025, through which the countries commit to strengthening cooperation in the field of defense and security.
