Albania will perform today on the Eurovision Song Contest stage, where it is represented by Alis with the song "Nan", a creation that brings to the center the figure of the mother and her importance in the Albanian family.

The 70th edition of the European Song Contest is taking place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, under the motto "United by Music". This year, 35 countries are participating in the competition, while Albania is aiming to qualify for the grand final.

Alis will take the stage on the second night of the semi-finals, the 13th in a row. His performance has been praised for its emotional message and for combining the simplicity of the text with a heartfelt musical atmosphere.

In an interview with RTSH, the singer shared the emotions of the preparations and rehearsals on the big Eurovision stage.

"It's a dream. The first time I went to the rehearsals, you don't feel like you're rehearsing, but like the whole world is watching you. I'm extremely grateful for all the support from Albanians and I hope to make them as proud as possible," said Alis.

In addition to the competition, the artist also emphasized the friendly atmosphere among the competitors, leaving open the possibility of international collaborations after the festival.

This year, the European Broadcasting Union has tightened voting rules, halving the maximum number of votes per person to 10, as a measure to avoid irregularities.

To support Albania, voters in Eurovision participating countries must vote for song number 13, according to the instructions and relevant codes of the country they are in. While the public from countries not participating in the festival can vote during the day, through the official Eurovision platform.

The support of the public and the Albanian diaspora is expected to be crucial for Albania's qualification to the grand final. /GazetaExpress/
