Previously, PDK's candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, said that Fatmir Limaj and the Social Democratic INISTA will support PDK.
Limaj himself reacted to this, saying that today he hosted the PDK leader, Bedri Hamza, in a meeting.
He said they have agreed to launch a strategic political and electoral cooperation.
Full post:
Today I hosted a meeting at the headquarters of the Social Democratic Initiative, the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Mr. Bedri Hamza.
In a difficult period for the country, when citizens rightly expect more responsibility and seriousness from politics, I believe it is time for political forces that share the same state-building values to cooperate in the interest of Kosovo.
After our talks, we have reached an agreement to launch a strategic political, electoral, governing and organizational cooperation between the Social Democratic INISTA and the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
In this spirit, the Social Democratic INITIATIVE will support the PDK and its candidate for prime minister, Mr. Bedri Hamza, in these elections.
We have also agreed to build a coordinated process of cooperation and political integration in the coming period, with the aim of this long-term partnership serving institutional stability, economic development, strengthening the state and more efficient functioning of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
This cooperation is based on the values that have always united us: responsibility towards the state, Euro-Atlantic orientation, permanent partnership with the United States of America, respect for the liberation war and the historical role of the KLA in the freedom and state-building of Kosovo.
Support for this cooperation is also support for the values of the liberation war, for the ideal of the KLA, and for our fellow fighters who today are unjustly facing the Special Court in The Hague, defending with dignity, pride, and determination the just struggle of our people for freedom.
Kosovo needs more cooperation, prudence, and people who put the interests of citizens and the state above any other interest.
I believe that this is an important step towards uniting political forces that share the same vision for the future of Kosovo and for building a stable, functional government with a long-term vision.
