After their success at Eurovision, Shkodra Elektronike seems to have no plans to stop.
The band recently announced the release of an EP (short album, usually containing 3-6 songs) titled “Shndrit!” “Why would we continue with [shndrit]” - they write, hinting that this is just the beginning of a new creative phase.
This project comes as a continuation of their unique style, where modern electronic music merges with traditional Albanian motifs. The bright colors, abstract shapes and ethno-futuristic inspiration on the album cover promise a bold and experimental approach, now characteristic of Shkodra Elektronik's artistic identity.
The album "Shndrit" will be released on May 23. This project is being eagerly awaited by fans, who, after the furore at Eurovision where the group ranked eighth in the public vote, are more numerous and more engaged than ever before.
More than a decade after Conchita's victory, Austria triumphs again at Eurovision. JJ, the 24-year-old Austrian-Filipino tenor, won the 69th edition of the festival with the song "Wasted Love", a mix of opera, pop and techno, receiving 436 points and leaving Israel and Estonia behind.
His technical and emotional performance on the Basel stage was considered one of the best of the evening. As a member of the LGBTQI+ community, he also conveyed a message of love and acceptance.
