The acting Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rashic, has said that his election as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo obliges him to stop exercising his function as a minister and that according to procedures, he will resign from the position of minister in the coming days.
Rashic expressed his willingness to continue cooperation with the Government. He also said that the position of minister will be entrusted to someone else from his party.
"Normally, since tomorrow or the day after this technical procedure, we cannot be simultaneously deputy speaker of the Assembly and minister. But I believe that the cooperation we have had so far with the prime minister and VV will continue in perhaps slightly different forms, but in the same direction. Normally, since we are in a technical mandate, I believe that the next minister will also be from my party," he said.
