Today, the Basic Court in Pristina has declared singer Asdren Gjikolli (Gjiko) innocent of the rape charge.
Following the Basic Court's decision regarding the rape allegations, there has also been a public reaction from moderator Elita Rudi.
Through an emotional post on Instagram, Elita shared with her followers the feelings she has experienced during this difficult period, describing it as a wound that hurts, but that never leaves her. She wrote that the truth that her heart always knew was finally told by justice.
"Today a wound that hurt us, but never separated us, is closed. Today what my heart has always known was confirmed: you are innocent," she writes, describing Gjiko as a constant strength and support, even in the most difficult moments.
In her story, Elita says that, despite the words, accusations, and doubts, they never gave up. She also recalls an unforgettable moment with her husband, when he told her: "If you are with me, it doesn't matter who is against me, as long as you are enough."
This decision and the Elite's reaction marks a new chapter for the couple, who are now seen as stronger than ever.
