Prime Minister Albin Kurti has announced that a joint meeting of his government cabinet has begun today, which he said will continue for two consecutive days.

Kurti said that the purpose of this meeting is to implement the promises they made during the campaign and in his presentation to MPs.

"In the December 2025 elections, citizens gave us unprecedented trust in post-war Kosovo. We sought citizen trust to turn it into security and prosperity. We did not compete with promises that are forgotten, but with commitments that are implemented. In light of this, today we have started a joint meeting of our government cabinet, which will continue for two consecutive days, with the aim of transforming the campaign pledges to the citizens and the exposition presented to the deputies into a governing program. Commitments that turn into a program and a program that is translated into plans with projects, goals with objectives, strategies with operations, measures with daily work that will be implemented throughout this mandate," said Kurti.

Kurti continued by saying that the starting point and goal of their governance are "commitment, the general good and public interest, development and equality, integrity and state dignity."

This meeting was not Kurti's only engagement this weekend.

He started the morning with a meeting with the EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen, after which he announced that he had made concessions to Kosovo Serbs, temporarily accepting their ID cards issued by illegal structures to begin implementing laws on foreigners and vehicles.
