The country's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has made a statement about the meeting he held with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, in Paris.

Kurti announced that during the meeting he asked the French president for France's support on the country's path towards integration into the European Union and international organizations and the deepening of economic cooperation through the organization of new Kosovo-France business forums, Gazeta Express reports.

"Also, at the meeting I raised issues of security, strengthening our defense capacities, dialogue with Serbia, and the implementation of the agreement for full normalization," Kurti wrote, among other things.

I had the pleasure today of visiting and having a working lunch at the Elysee Palace in Paris with the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron.

For about two hours we discussed the important and ongoing role of NATO in Kosovo, the engagement of European Union missions, and the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to full harmonization with the EU's foreign and security policy.

I asked President Macron for France's support on our path towards EU integration and international organizations, and for deepening economic cooperation through the organization of new Kosovo-France business forums. I also raised issues of security, strengthening our defense capabilities, dialogue with Serbia, and the implementation of the agreement on full normalization.

I thank President Macron for the warm welcome and the support of the Republic of France in the progress of our Republic.
