The Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has expressed full support for the demands of the KLA War Veterans Organization, describing them as legitimate and necessary for institutional treatment.
In an official statement, AAK emphasizes that the requests submitted by veterans in the communication dated February 20, 2026 must be addressed without delay and with priority by the country's institutions.
"The Liberation War and the sacrifice of those who contributed to freedom and independence constitute a non-negotiable foundation of statehood and democratic order. Every institutional effort must be consistent with this historical and moral reality," the statement said.
The AAK Parliamentary Group has listed three main demands that it supports:
• Adoption of the Law on the Protection of the Values of the KLA War
• Setting veterans' pensions at the minimum wage level
• Full and prompt implementation of existing law
AAK announces that it will commit to the priority treatment of these issues in the Assembly, while simultaneously inviting all political forces for joint support./KosovaPress
