The Prosecutor's Office has announced the arrest of a person, MG, who was wanted for aggravated murder.
The announcement also adds that a 48-hour detention order has been issued against the arrested person, and that two weapons, narcotics, and forged documents, which the defendant used during his escape, in order to evade identification, were seized, Gazeta Express reports.
"Also, in this action, another person was arrested for the criminal offense of providing assistance to the perpetrator after committing a criminal offense under Article 380 of the Criminal Code," the announcement states, among other things.

Pristina 16.04.2026 – The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina – Department for Serious Crimes, after intensive work in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police, has managed to locate the defendant MG, who was wanted on suspicion of the criminal offense of Aggravated Murder, in which case a 48-hour detention order was issued against him, and two weapons, narcotics, and forged documents were seized, which the defendant used during his escape, in order to evade legitimization.
Also, in this action, another person was arrested for the criminal offense of providing assistance to the perpetrator after committing a criminal offense under Article 380 of the Criminal Code.
The state prosecutor will continue to take the necessary investigative actions in a timely manner, as well as consider the possibility of submitting a request for any of the measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in criminal proceedings.
The state prosecutor will continue his work so that all perpetrators of criminal offenses are brought to justice.
