On 12.04.2026 at around 13:00, a case of "Aggravated Theft" was reported to the police station in Ferizaj at the Mosque in the village of Mirashë.
The response units immediately went to the scene and contacted the complainant, "the imam of the Mosque, who reported that at around 03:00 of the same day, an unknown and masked person had entered the facility, from where he had stolen the charity box with a certain amount of money," the police announced.
The incident was recorded by security cameras, but during the escape, "the suspect damaged the cameras with the aim of destroying evidence, also causing material damage," the police statement said.
"After investigative actions and securing evidence, on 16.04.2026, the Investigation Unit in Ferizaj managed to identify and arrest the suspect JH (33 years old), who was escorted to the police station and, in the presence of the defense attorney, was interviewed as a suspect, where, with the authorization of the state prosecutor, he admitted to committing the criminal offense," the police confirm.
Also, the suspect has an active arrest warrant from the Basic Court, branch in Lipjan.
By decision of the prosecutor, he was detained for 48 hours for further investigative procedures, confirmed the KP.
