The Consulate General of the Republic of Kosovo in New York and activist Harry Bajraktari have organized a condolence reception to be held on Monday (today) on the occasion of the passing of Congressman Eliot Engel.
Harry Bajraktari, through a post on Facebook, has invited the Albanian-American community to participate in the condolence reception in honor of Congressman Eliot Engel, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Kosovo in New York, in cooperation with him.
"Your participation honors the figure of a great friend of our nation, who for more than three decades was one of the most powerful voices in the United States Congress in support of the Albanian cause," he emphasizes.
He appreciates that as a legislator and former Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Eliot Engel remains one of the most deserving personalities for the freedom and independence of Kosovo, for supporting Albania on its path to NATO, as well as for advancing the rights of Albanians in North Macedonia, Montenegro, and the Presevo Valley.
"The Albanian nation will remain eternally grateful to the man who always stood by us. May God bless Congressman Engel, his family, the American and Albanian people," Bajraktari emphasizes.
