In recent days, six cases of domestic violence were recorded in Kosovo.
As a result, five people were arrested.
Pristina / 19.04.2026 – 20:15. It was reported that the Kosovar male suspect had physically abused the Kosovar female victim. The victim, after being interviewed, returned to her apartment, while the suspect was arrested and, by decision of the prosecutor, was sent to detention for 48 hours.
Peja / 19.04.2026 – 19:30. It has been reported that the Kosovar male suspect has caused psychological and physical violence to the Kosovar female victim. Case under investigation.
Gjakova / 18.04.2026 – 16:00. The Kosovar male suspect has been arrested and is suspected of causing violence against the Kosovar female victim. By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect has been taken into custody.
Malishevė / 14.04.2026 – NN. A Kosovar male suspect has been arrested on suspicion of causing violence against a Kosovar male victim. The parties have been interviewed and by decision of the prosecutor the case is going into regular procedure.
Orahovac / 19.04.2026 – 18:30. After a domestic dispute, two Kosovar male suspects fought with each other, resulting in bodily injuries to one of them, who received medical treatment. The parties were interviewed and, by decision of the prosecutor, one of the suspects was arrested and taken into custody.
Leposavic / 19.04.2026 – 21:30. On 20.04.2025 at 00:50 it was reported that the Kosovar male suspect had exercised physical violence against the Kosovar female victim. As a result of the violence, the victim received medical treatment. Regarding the case, the police unit went to the scene and arrested the suspect. By decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody for 48 hours.
