A 4-year-old child has died in Vlora, while preliminary examination has not found any signs of violence or other injuries on the minor's body. The family, who lives in Palasa, initially sent him to Orikum as an emergency. From there, the Orikum ambulance transported the child to the Vlora Regional Hospital, but he arrived without any signs of life.
According to sources, the 4-year-old had been showing symptoms such as fever, vomiting, and diarrhea for several days, while further forensic examinations are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
"The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, after on 06.02.2026, a 4-year-old child was taken to the Vlora Regional Hospital without signs of life. The preliminary examination did not find any signs of violence or other injuries. Further forensic examinations are ongoing to determine the cause of the death. The procedural materials were referred to the Vlora Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
According to family members, it is suspected that the minor's symptoms appeared after consuming honey. The child had suffered from repeated vomiting, which was initially thought to have subsided, but the symptoms continued on the day of his death.
