The Republic of Kosovo celebrates the 18th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence tomorrow, with a series of solemn events throughout the country, organized by the Prime Minister's Office and state institutions.
The program of events begins in the morning with the raising of the Kosovo Flag in the Government yard at 07:00, and then continues with a solemn meeting of the Government and tributes at the Monument to the Missing, the Memorial Plaque of the Murdered Children, as well as homages at the graves of former President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova and activist Adem Demaçi.
At 09:00, a visit to the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz is scheduled, while at 10:30 the solemn session of the Kosovo Assembly will begin. In the afternoon, the program includes tributes to the Heroines Monument and a parade of troops of the Kosovo Security Force and Kosovo Police on Luan Haradinaj Street.
In the evening, from 17:30 PM, the President of Kosovo, the Speaker of the Parliament and the Prime Minister will host state guests in a solemn reception, while 20:00 PM marks the solemn concert of the Kosovo Philharmonic in the Red Hall of the Youth Palace.
