The 18 miners trapped in the "Trepça" mine have now left the mine. They were trapped in the mine after problems with electricity.
A few hours ago, the Trepça company reacted regarding the blockage of about 50 miners in the mine. According to the official announcement, 29 workers have left the mine, while 18 were still trapped.
Further, it was emphasized that this occurred due to an interruption in the electricity supply to the Trepça-Stan Tërg Flotation Mining Business Unit, as a result of a defect in the 35 kV Stan Tërg line.
"According to information from the field, a line conductor has been disconnected at the entrance to the flotation transformer, and as a result, the conductor insulators have been damaged, causing a fire in the transformer that supplies the flotation with electricity. Damage has also been identified in other conductor installations in the transformer," the announcement said.
