The Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Greek Police investigated an armed conflict that occurred in September 2024 outside a nightclub in Piraeus, between two criminal groups.
In this case, police units of the Department for the Prosecution of Crimes against Life and Property in various areas of Athens arrested 12 individuals, Albanian and Greek, members of organizations, including a police officer, while through a thorough investigation and other police actions, their participation and role in the event was identified.
Specifically, regarding the history of the case, in the early morning hours of 29.09.2024, outside a nightclub in the Piraeus area, two criminal groups, consisting of at least 6 people each, initially clashed with each other with punches and kicks. Subsequently, members of the two criminal groups exchanged gunfire.
From the physical checks and searches carried out in the apartments, among other things, 1 pistol with a 10-round magazine, 1 revolver with 6 rounds, 1 impact pistol with 1 round, 1 shotgun, a multitude of rounds of ammunition of different calibers, 2 magazines and pistol holsters, 14 knives of various types, clothing used in the armed conflict, anabolic tablets, 1 pair of gloves, 3 cars and 1 motorcycle, marijuana weighing 2.4 grams, as well as 175.470 euros were found and seized.
The arrested persons, with the file filed against them, are accused, as the case may be, of creating a criminal organization, attempted intentional murder, dangerous bodily harm, breach of duty, and violation of drug and weapons laws.
It is noted that most of the accused have a criminal past for similar and other offenses.
