The citizens of Tetovo face such problems every day.
Mayor Bilall Kasami appeals for more awareness, but adds that they will not leave this solely to the citizens' conscience, as a commission has already been formed and promises that within a year the number of parking spaces in Tetovo will triple.
"It is a complex task for which a special commission has been engaged and whose work I will personally oversee. As a result of this, we expect that within a period of one year, we expect to have tripled or quadrupled the number of parking spaces in the city of Tetova," said Bilall Kasami.
The Tetovo SPB says that within three and a half months, around 1300 fines have been issued for improper parking, while the spider car has towed around a thousand vehicles that were parked incorrectly.
"During these three and a half months of 2026, around 1300 fines have been issued for improper parking, while the municipal traffic police have towed over 1 vehicles, for which relevant reports have been prepared and drivers will face fines. As for fines, the largest number of them are in double order, in the area of intersections, roundabouts, white lines and sidewalks," said Fatmir Rexhepi.
Increasing parking spaces in Tetovo has been promised by many mayors, but Tetovo continues to face this problem. As a result, actions are often taken to remove poorly parked cars, but this only temporarily solves the problem, because poorly parked cars continue.
