Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti is attending the Southeast Europe Peace Summit taking place in Tirana, Albania.
Likely prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, whose party won 6 October elections in Kosovo, addressing the Summit said that the Western Balkan countries need good neighbourly relations and to fight inequality and injustice. “The wall which separated us and which brought to an end the Cold War fell 30 years ago. Today, we have coldness without war and somewhere also with war, and instead of the Great Wall we have built small walls dividing us. We need peace everywhere and all the time. Because peace is the chance for citizens, nations, and society bloom. But peace needs to fight poverty and unemployment, inequality and injustice. And, needs good neighbourly relations between our countries by making relevant joint values and interests, aspyring the EU and NATO, development, welfare and security. The Western Balkans and the European Union are very important to each-other,” Kurti said. The Vetevendosje leader travelled on Friday to Tirana when on Friday night he held a meeting with Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, to discuss as he said, important issues on the interest of both countries. /GazetaExpress/
