300kg safe stolen from Kosovo’s Food and Veterinary Agency

A safe weighing about 300 kilograms was stolen from the offices of the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency, the Kosovo Police have confirmed.

The Kosovo Police spokesperson, Daut Hoxha, told Gazeta Express that relevant units have responded to the scene after they received the information on the missing safe. Authorities could not determine what was inside the safe.

Reports on missing safe inside a state institution, come a day after the news that 2.1 million euro were stolen from the State Treasury. An official of the Ministry of Finances was arrested and two others are wanted related to this case.

Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami said Thursday that the arrested official working in Treasury Office is suspected of cybercrimes, namely for unauthorised access, exceeding legal authorizations, and misuse of official duty. /GazetaExpress/
