Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, has stated that the Parliament of Kosovo will take a right direction and vote in favour of visa liberalisation rather than isolation of the country.
Thaci made the comments on the day the Parliament has convened to vote ratification of the Agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro which is one of the last criteria for Kosovo to get visa liberalisation. Thaci made these comments attending a commemoration meeting on 20th anniversary of the Likoshan and Cirez Massacre. He said that 20 years after the massacre of Serbian forces against Albanians in the villages of Likoshan and Cirez in Drenica region, Kosovo is honoured with the visit of the European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker. “This sacrifice and our resistence for freedom made Kosovo get the support of the free world. As a young country we should do more on wellbeing of our citizens, now after two decades of freedom, and one decade of independence,” Thaci said.
