Kosovo Minister of Justice, Abelard Tahiri, during a visit at the Kosovo Department of Forensic Medicine on Thursday morning, said that they have not decided on the role that EU’s Rule of Law Mission (EULEX) will have after the mission’s mandate expires in June.
Tahiri visited on Thursday the Department of Forensic Medicine, accompanied by the EULEX Head of Mission Alexandra Papadopoulou, and British Ambassador to Kosovo Ruairi O’Connell where they were informed on the work of this institution and capacity building. Talking about EULEX’s role in DFM and the mission’s mandate after June 2018, Tahiri said: “Currently we are in the consultations phase and we have not decided on the role of EULEX after June. I want to thank EULEX for the engagement and willingness in the DFM capacity building. The EULEX’s engagement was great. The moment we will have an agreement we will publish it,” said Tahiri.
