The Basic Court in Pristina has acquitted Kosovo Albanian man, Leonis Frangu, accused of joining terrorist organizations.

The Basic Court in Pristina acquitted on Tuesday Leonis Frangu who was facing accusations of joining terrorist organisation of ISIS in Syria. The court cited a lack of evidence confirming that the accused has committed the criminal charge. In his closing arguments the accused, Leonis Frangu, stated that he never went to Syria. According to the indictment, Frangu flied from International Airport of Pristina to Istanbul on 3 November 2014 and from Istanbul he travelled to Turkish town of Hatay near border with Syria aimed at joining terrorist organisation of ISIS.
